As Lease Fee rate increases are calculated using a pre-set formula, your Board has been trying to determine the delay in issuing the new 5-year Lease Fee rates. We’ve now been given the reason. Adair-Ireland Smith, Managing Director of Ontario Parks, advises that Ontario Parks, and other government branches and agencies, are now required to obtain Treasury Board approval of fee increases. Ontario Parks have prepared and submitted the required documents to Treasury Board for an increase in lease fees and are now awaiting its approval. They confirm that once approval has been obtained, invoices will be promptly mailed. back to main
