Our Members Give Back

Rondeau’s cottagers donated a van full of groceries to the Chatham Outreach for Hunger over Thanksgiving.

RCA Director Alysson Storey spearheaded the campaign this year.  The donations were accepted at a drop-off depot located at the Bayview Market. Alysson is pictured unloading the van at the Outreach for Hunger’s Chatham warehouse.  Volunteer Charlie Bellamy received the donation on behalf of the food bank.

“Thanksgiving is a time to recognize what we are all thankful for, and to give back to a community that has given us so much” says Dr. David Colby, President of the Rondeau Cottagers Association. “Rondeau cottagers are very community-minded and happy to contribute to such a worthwhile organization. And we are thrilled that the Bayview Market has offered to act as our drop-off depot. They are great neighbours.”

Rondeau cottagers have made similar donations to the Chatham-Kent Outreach for Hunger in past years.

In total, RCA members donated approximately 200 lbs of groceries this Thanksgiving.
